Evening Headliner Concert

The 2009 Country Music Marathon Post Race Concert is sure to house the talent of one of Country Music’s greatest stars. Information on talent will be made available as soon as it is confirmed.

Just because you didn’t run doesn’t mean you can’t join in the fun. Friends, families and Country music lovers can purchase tickets online and join in the celebration at the Sommet Center on Saturday, April 26th 2008.

All registered Marathon & ½ Marathon participants and all registered YMCA Country Music Kid's marathoners receive free admission to the concert with their race number at the Sommet Center in downtown Nashville. Concert tickets are general admission and seating is 'first come, first serve'.

Children two and under are free. For most events the rule is that if the child has not reached their second birthday, and they will not be occupying a seat, a ticket does not need to be purchased for them.

On-Course PerformersBands on the Course

With 50 local bands playing live on 28 entertainment stages, the Country Music Marathon &1/2 Marathon will rock Nashville in a city-wide party. Jazz, country, rock ‘n’ roll, swing and more will pulsate the course and get you to the finish line.

Spirit on the Course

Hundreds of local cheerleaders will line the course to chant and cheer you to the finish. These energetic cheerleaders do their best to keep runners’ spirits high every step of the way.

Runners aren’t the only ones in a competition on race day. The Spirit on the Course competition awards the top three most spirited cheerleading squads with cash prizes. Teams are judged based on creativity, participation, and enthusiasm.  First place receives $1000, second $750 and third place $500.
